If you know me, then you know that I live for the month of October. Ever since I was little I’ve been enamored by Halloween and I always feel like a little kid when this time of year rolls around. There’s magic in the air in the fall and New England is the perfect place to soak it all in. In my opinion, Boston looks most beautiful during a gray October day and we’re lucky to have Salem just a short trip away. On Halloween, Beacon Hill is a spectacle that everyone should experience once in their lifetime! Residents go above and beyond, piling their entryways high with pumpkins and gourds and bedecking their brownstones in spooky decorations.
This year I challenged myself to visually document what I love about the season (since I have such a hard time putting it into words). My goal was to post daily on Instagram using the hashtag #ShadeyOctober. I think I missed a handful of days, but I’m happy that I stuck with it.
On the night before Halloween I thought it would be fun to share all of my fall shots here in one place. Hopefully scrolling through will put you in the mood for tomorrow’s holiday!
