One of my favorite things about the holidays in the city is seeing how people choose to adorn their entryways. From Beacon Hill to the South End there are wreaths and window boxes that absolutely stop you in your tracks. While over the top decorations can be stunning, I have to say this very simple boxwood wreath in Beacon Hill is my favorite find so far. Which wreath fits your style most?

Bold entryways in Bay Village and the South End. I’m heads over heels for the birch and berries planter on the right.
The South End is always decked out for the holidays and I love that it’s not exclusive to just the homes. Almost every business I walked by was decorated. The South End Buttery looks extra cozy (as if that’s even possible) with oversized wreaths in the window. On a chilly city day it’s the perfect place to grab a warm drink and a cupcake. The Cathedral of the Holy Cross has doors so stunning that simple wreaths are the only adornment needed.
I couldn’t help but to include the wreath my mother made for our front door in Kingston. Each season she does something a little different and I love how she kept it basic this year, sticking just to white and green and giving it a nautical vibe with the addition of the starfish.
I’d love to see how your front door is dressed for the holiday! If you have a photo you’d like to share please send it to popandcircumstance@gmail.com and it may be featured on our facebook page!
