It’s that magical time of year again when strawberries are ripe for the picking. A trip to C.N. Smith Farm in Bridgewater has become a summer tradition, and this time my mom and I were proud to have picked more than ever before (almost 40 pounds of strawberries!)
Some of the stockpile will be enjoyed immediately but most of it will be frozen to be used in fruit smoothies and other goodies throughout the year. Boston Fashionista suggested strawberry margaritas and I think I’m into that idea! There’s just nothing quite like these juicy jewel tone beauties. They’re perfect for picking throughout this week and into next so add it to your list!
I love strawberries yet have never been strawberry picking. I think I should add this to my Summer list.
Most definitely! This weekend will be perfect for it. Already looking forward to some blueberry picking later in the summer.
so fun! i went blueberry picking a few years ago but never been sberry pickin!
Ahh! It’s the best. Sberries from the grocery store don’t even come close. Right off the vine is where it’s at.
Oh my gosh, picking is my favorite thing to do. I miss the pick-you-own farm that’s near my parent’s house. When I visit, may we go??? Pretty please!
Absolutely! Maybe we can plan something when blueberries are ripe? Can’t wait for you to visit!
Strawberry margaritas is a fantastic idea! I love fresh strawberries, enjoy (and have a wonderful weekend!) xo
