Just when I start to feel down that the peonies have passed, the hydrangea bushes burst into bloom. It seems appropriate that they’re at they’re most vibrant during the Fourth of July holiday. In my parents’ yard there are 3 bushes in purples and blues surrounding our patio and a bright pink plant out in the garden. It won’t be long until they fade in the summer heat, so enjoy them while they’re here!

My favorite flower!
They are too beautiful… I had so much fun admiring all of the ones in Nantucket! Such a sweet summer bloom.
