Dream Homes of the Moment

If you’re like me, you spend a lot of time daydreaming about your future home. I love imagining over-the-top features to include in my perfect abode. For me it’s girly things like giant walk in closets and rooms dedicated solely to wrapping paper and crafts. For Kyle it’s all about the yard, a wrap around porch, and a good spot for grilling. Imagining is a fun exercise no matter how far-fetched it might be! I’ve been doing some browsing and I today I’m sharing a round up of some of my favorites. A girl can dream, right?

Around the holiday season when it starts to get really cold here in New England I start dreaming of a cozy winter cabin. This home on White Fish Lake in Montana would be the perfect place to snuggle up and wait out the winter season. The cabin comes with a private island of over 10 acres as well as a boat dock and an unbelievable view. The movie room isn’t a shabby an addition either!

Having gone to school in North Carolina and living in Georgia for a short period of time I like to browse home listings down South for fun. It’s unbelievable how much the prices vary compared to listings here in New England. This stunning home in Savannah caught my eye immediately. Built in 1844 and sitting on a trust lot, it has it’s own city block. The porch alone is enough to sell me on this property.

Coming down from the clouds for a moment, this Victorian Style home listed on Comfree.com in Ontario is a little more realistic of a choice. I love how it has the personality and character of an old home but with updated features. I especially like the rosy red color they used in the dining room – it’s bold, but it works.

Homes on Nantucket have such sky-high prices that it’s torture when you’re just browsing the listings as a casual looker. This 20 million dollar gem comes with a formal English garden and an unreal view of the island.

We’ll finish on one a property that includes a lot of great features, but a reasonable price (phew!) This home, another in Ontario, comes with a large porch, fireplace, and beautiful floor to ceiling kitchen cabinets.
