Boston is blessed with many beautiful and one of a kind shops, and starting with this post, I am going to kick off a series called Stores I Adore. I will highlight one of my favorite spots in the city each month. December’s highlight is on Hudson, a heavenly home furnishings shop in the South End.
Hudson has a feeling of New England elegance that is both comfortable and approachable. Owner Jill Goldberg curates an impeccable selection of pieces ranging from statement-making chandeliers all the way down to small home accessories. Every nook of the shop offers something a little different and when you visit you’ll want to soak in every vignette.
While the shop carries furniture and other large items, I thought they would make a great December post because they also have a great range of small gift-able items. If you’re in a pinch this week I suggest you stop in! The travel bags {above} make for a great last minute guy gift.
From candles to cute coasters there are plenty of small items that can be quickly picked up for holiday parties this week. If you’re looking for a higher-end host or hostess gift the color-tipped cutting board is the perfect present {bottom right corner of photo on the left}.
I would be thrilled to receive this Gold Athena tray and know it would make a great gift for any of my girlfriends. It’s a beautiful way to hold and display earrings and other baubles, and the price is right at $35.00.
Living in a small apartment I have to restrict myself to smaller purchases at the moment, but I dream about the day I can shop at Hudson to furnish a home! Please don’t take my word for it – make a stop in to Hudson yourself!

I think all the books stuck in alcoves in the brick walls is a fantastic idea.
Agreed! It’s such a unique and striking way to fill the space.
