Hosting a New Year’s Eve bash this year? There are two stars at any NYE party – the drinks & the New York City Times Square ball. This quick craft celebrates both!
A swizzle stick is a simple way to dress up your drinks and impress your guests. After a season of holiday parties and entertaining and I wanted to come up with an incredibly simple but impactful party decoration. This swizzle stick does the trick as it requires no glue and takes about 5 minutes to assemble!
The craft requires basic bamboo skewers which can be found at the grocery store (or maybe you already have some in your pantry!) and a pack of “Decorative Fillers” which can be found at Michaels. The fillers come in several different colors and are made of foam – so the sharp end of the skewer easily fits in and voila! you have a swizzle stick.
This was the first time I got to use my rose-stemmed champagne glasses which were a flea market find. Instead of traditional champagne I went with Chandon sparkling rose to complement the glasses. If you make swizzle sticks for your party please snap a photo and send it my way!
From P&C I wish you a very happy and sparkly New Year’s!
