With the same level of anticipation that fashionistas reserve for the September issue of Vogue, I fervently await the arrival of Country Living, Martha Stewart Living, and House Beautiful at my doorstep. (I wouldn’t dream of missing the online issues of Trad Home, Rue Magazine, or Lonny either). September is a chance for a fresh start in all spheres – including interiors. Here in Boston, September 1st is a huge move date and many city dwellers are getting the opportunity to start in a whole new space. This year we’ll be staying in the same apartment but our goal is to de-clutter and to go forward focusing on quality over quantity. My interior philosophy for the coming year basically boils down to this quote by William Morris:
