Recently I had the good fortune of collaborating with a stellar creative team to throw a Saturday night Scotch Tasting. Kathryn Yee of Bash Studio was the creative genius behind the event and she invited me to provide some of the vintage props and decorative touches. Her official title is “event curator” and details are her specialty — as evidenced by this event!
The tasting was held at a private penthouse in the W, and let me tell you, the venue was UNREAL. Just look at that view!
Anastasia of Orly Khon Floral Boutique provided the succulents and Li of Fat Orange Cat Studio did the calligraphy. All of the elements came together seamlessly and were artfully captured by Mikhail Glabets Photography. Here are some of his fantastic shots!
I’m a strong believer in collaborations. For me, working with a group helps to push my taste and aesthetic (and always ends up being TONS of fun!) Because the crowd at this event was mainly from the tech sector and predominantly men, I had to venture a little outside of my comfort zone. It forced me to consider different props and pull things I wouldn’t normally pull. I’m so thrilled with the results and I have Kathryn to thank for that.
I’m very much looking forward to future projects with Bash Studio!

Ahh! Everything looks GORGEOUS! Well done girly!
Wow it turned out beautifully! I was just at their downstairs Lounge last night and it was not the vibe at all, tragically. Would that you all had styled that too! ; )
